Hello to my art world. My name is Galya Iskrenova-Gülay. The paintings I paint explore the dual worlds in which they exist – our inner life and the changing world around us. The paintings depict the landscape of the psyche, a place where the conscious and the unconscious meet where external forces and our human nature collide as we struggle with our place in constant change, and the reactive environment. My work includes surreal plots.
 
While painting, I mix traditional brushwork with pouring and painting and use solvents and scrapers to break up oil-painted surfaces.
